Credit Counseling
WHAT IT IS
We review your credit with you and explore ways for improvement. We don’t judge you by your score. We look at your whole situation and build a path forward together.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We sit down together and go through your credit report line by line. We identify what’s helping, what’s hurting, and what we can work on. If you need access to capital, we can have a conversation about our relational-based lending based on your willingness to participate.
GOOD TO KNOW
You can pull your own credit for free at annualcreditreport.com and bring it to us. If we pull it for you, there’s a fee ($35 individual, $52 couple). That’s the only cost.
Financial Empowerment
WHAT IT IS
Budgeting, savings, investments, credit, and resources. Not all textbook, just rez life.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We offer classes and one-on-one sessions that cover the real situations you’re dealing with. How to stretch a paycheck. How to stop the cycle of borrowing from family. How to start saving even when it feels impossible. We use real examples from real life in our communities.
Sessions range from a few hours to a full week, depending on what you need. There’s homework. We expect you to participate. But we’re right next to you the whole time.
Relational-Based Lending
WHAT IT IS
Accessible capital for debt reduction or to build credit. Relational, not transactional.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This isn’t a bank loan. We don’t use a Beacon score to decide if you qualify. We base lending on your willingness to participate and build a better financial future. There is an application fee and an interest rate, but our terms are designed to help you succeed, not trap you.
To access lending, you do need to participate in financial empowerment classes first. That’s not a barrier — it’s the foundation. We want to make sure you have the tools to manage what you’re building.
